Choose whether your turntable has a preamp and what it connects to. You see what you are missing or how to set the cables and the switch, with products that fit.
Set the PHONO/LINE switch to LINE and use an ordinary input on the speakers or soundbar. Check that the cables (usually RCA or 3.5 mm) fit the input. No switch? Then the preamp is usually always on: check the manual.

The signal from a turntable is much weaker than that of a CD player and also has to be corrected. A phono preamp does that. Sometimes it sits in the turntable itself, sometimes in the amplifier (the PHONO input) and sometimes it is a separate box.
There are two questions. Does the turntable have a preamp itself? Then it gives a normal (line) signal and you connect it to an ordinary input, such as AUX, or to active speakers. Audio-Technica calls the switch PHONO/LINE: on LINE the preamp is on, on PHONO it is off for an amplifier with its own PHONO input. Does the amplifier have a PHONO input? Then you connect a turntable without a preamp straight to it.
Never connect a turntable with a preamp to a PHONO input: the signal would be amplified twice. hifi.de says the same. What this tool cannot know: whether your model has a preamp, which cartridge it has and whether your amplifier really has a PHONO input. That is in the manual. For Bluetooth speakers we give no fixed rule; check what your turntable or transmitter can do.
